Laparoscopic surgery in general surgery is a field that requires development and microsurgical practice on minimally invasive surgical instruments. It is our flat camera product that helps to insert laparoscopic, endoscopic tubes through 3-5 incisions of 1 cm or less in size without using large surgical incisions in working with training simulation tools. It is an important learning tool in laparoscopic surgery training that provides clear vision and angle.
Clear visualization of the inferior epigastric vein and bladder dome is important to prevent an auxiliary port injury. Visualization quality was high in identifying the inferior epigastric vein, rectus abdominis muscle and bladder dome using 0-degree and 30-degree laparoscopes. No significant difference was reported between laparoscopes in both visualization quality and confidence level in identifying these three landmarks.
